This painting has a most special meaning for me. I painted this in honor of "my beloved" wife Judi. To me, the Cayman Islands are among the most romantic places on earth. As I saw Judi walking towards the sea, with her wind-swept chiffon skirt and scarves, I knew that the setting and the mood was something that I wanted to capture for all eternity. Notice the traces of the sand on the bottom of Judi's feet. The traces of sand symbolize the traces of the lives that we both left behind as we ventured into our new life together. Judi's path also has symbolic meaning for me. I feel that our love is cleansing, refreshing, and gentle - like the sea that surrounded her as she played in the surf.

Judi and I strolled these white coral sand beaches together as we planned our lives together. We lingered among the tropical bloom and listened to the gentle, warm breezes as we spoke softly to each other. This beach in the Cayman Islands was beautiful and romantic, just like Judi is. I painted my memories of this experience so that they could live on forever.

My painting was done at Rum Point - a magnificent beach on the largest of the three islands - Grand Cayman. One thing is certain, a visit to the Cayman Islands brings peace to both body and soul. It is the ultimate escape from life's pressure, deadlines, and stresses. If you go, take someone you love. I did. Please enjoy My Beloved - my tribute to the one I love.
