"Kiev Egg"

The third creation of Russian splendor by Theo Fabergé was inspired by the elegance and architectural beauty of the cathedrals and churches in the city of Kiev. A sterling silver Egg surmounted by the Imperial Crown, enriched with 24 carat gold and cobalt blue enamel, rests on a white marble base. The intricate towers reaching for the sky.
On opening the Egg, the surprise, a miniature vermeil stand surmounted with rubies and a lapis lazuli cupola, displaying a replica of the splendid brocade, which adorns the Imperial Palace in St. Petersburg.
